2nd Italian Doctoral Workshop
in Economics and Policy Analysis

July 2-3, 2009

This workshop aims at providing students enrolled in an Italian doctoral program with the opportunity to present their research and receive feedback from junior and senior scholars. The purpose of the workshop is to foster the exchange of ideas among doctoral students at a medium/advanced stage of their research.

The workshop will be hosted at the Collegio Carlo Alberto in Moncalieri (Torino). The University of Torino and Collegio Carlo Alberto will fund accommodation expenses for all participants who will present at the workshop. Lunch and dinner will also be provided.

Program

The complete program will be available at the end of the selection process on this web page. Parallel sessions will be organized according to the selected works. The working language is English.

Dates

The workshop will take place on July 2nd and 3rd, 2009. The workshop is residential, and all of the participants are expected to attend the workshop for its whole duration.

Location

The workshop will be held at the Collegio Carlo Alberto in Moncalieri, a town in the hills surrounding Torino. The Collegio is housed in an historic building, which dates back to the XIII century and was rebuilt in the XVIII century. The Collegio hosts research centers, residential faculty and fellows, and visiting scholars. For further information about the Collegio and its activities, visit www.carloalberto.org

Accommodation

 All the participants will be hosted in Best Western – Hotel Genova, via Sacchi 14/B, just in front of Porta Nuova station. A private shuttle-bus will be provided to reach the conference venue. The social dinner will take place on Thursday evening.

Fees

There are no participation fees.

Applications

In order to apply, send your paper as a PDF file (a draft version will also be considered) along with a CV via email to idconference.2009@gmail.com, indicating also the area of research.

All papers must contain a brief abstract, the corresponding author’s name and address and must be written and presented in English. The deadline for submission is April 24th 2009. Notification of acceptance will be communicated by the end of May.
