Chiara Saraceno is nominated to international expert group on the measurement of economic performance and social progress
Congratulations to Chiara Saraceno, senior Honorary Fellow of the Collegio, for being nominated member of the High Level Expert Group on the Measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress (HLEG) . HLEG is co-chaired by Joseph Stiglitz, Jean-Paul Fitoussi and Martine Durand. Hosted by the OECD, it brings together experts of international standing, with relevant experience in the field of well-being measurement coming from both official statistics and academia It has the goal to a) keep the momentum of the ongoing statistical efforts to develop better metrics of well-being and societal progress; b) better connect measurement initiatives and economic theory; and c) provide guidance on ongoing international initiatives on the measurement of well-being and societal progress. Chiara adds this international appointment to her membership to the Scientific Committee of the Italian working group on Benessere Equo e Sostenibile (BES).
