Daniel Auer appointed Guest Professor at the University of Vienna
Congratulations to our Assistant Professor Daniel Auer, on being awarded the The Paul Lazarsfeld
Professorship, created by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Vienna.
This is a prestigious recognition, awarded to outstanding scholars with an innovative profile in the
areas of theory and methodology in the social sciences.
As part of the professorship, Auer was invited to the University to:
– teach in the doctoral programme in Social Sciences at the University of Vienna
– deliver a seminar at the Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital
During his appointment, he presented his current research exploring public attitudes toward
immigration in the context of labour shortages.
