The World Congress is hosted by the Collegio Carlo Alberto.
The Collegio Carlo Alberto is a foundation created in 2004 at the joint initiative of the Compagnia di San Paolo and the University of Torino. Its mission is to foster research and education in the social sciences, in accordance with the values and practices of the international academic community.
The Collegio Carlo Alberto is located in Moncalieri on the outskirts of Torino. If you are located not too far away from the main train stations in Torino, by far the easiest way to get to Moncalieri and back is by train (train finder). A number of connecting trains are available during the day from Torino Porta Nuova and Torino Porta Susa train station. Get off at the Moncalieri station, then exit straight ahead across the pedestrian square that leads to piazza Caduti per la Libertà.
Alternatively, you can get to Moncalieri by bus (bus finder):
- Number 67: departing piazza Arbarello, 40 minutes from Moncalieri. This line follows corso re Umberto I, corso Vittorio Emanuele II (Porta Nuova train station), via Madama Cristina, corso Moncalieri. Get off in Moncalieri, piazza Caduti per la Libertà, from which the Collegio is within easy walking distance.
- Number 45, 45/: departing Piazza Carducci near the underground station, 20 minutes from Moncalieri. Both bus lines follow corso Unità d'Italia. Get off in Moncalieri, piazza Caduti per la Libertà, from which the Collegio is within easy walking distance.
If you are arriving directly from the airport, take a shuttle bus to the Porta Nuova or Porta Susa train station, and then proceed to Moncalieri by bus or taxi (shuttle timetable).
