The Statistics group at Collegio Carlo Alberto is composed by Fellows, Affiliates and Postdocs from the University of Torino, whose research is mainly focussed on statistical methodology and Bayesian inference. The group is involved in several capacities in the Laurea Magistrale in Stochastics and Data Science and in the Ph.D. in Modeling and Data Science of the University of Torino.

The group members work in close collaboration with those of the “de Castro” Statistics Initiative, a center which aims at fostering research and education in Statistics and gathers a network of highly qualified scholars from several nearby institutions.

The Statistics Initiative coordinates the Collegio’s activities in Statistics and related areas; supports and mentors students and young scholars in view of their doctoral and academic placement; offers several courses at the Allievi Program and at the Master and PhD in Economics; organizes the Statistics Seminar/Webinar Series, partly in collaboration with the intercontinental Complex Data Modeling Research Network.
