“M’illumino di meno” is a pun with Giuseppe Ungaretti’s famous poem “Mattina” (“Morning”), which, in its entirety, says: “M’illumino d’immenso” (“Immensity fills me with light”). “M’illumino di meno” literally means “I light myself less”.
