Short Bio

Raffaele Caterina is Professor of Private Law in the University of Torino since 2005; since 2018 he is Director of the Department of Law of the same University.

Since 2018 he is socio corrispondente of Accademia delle Scienze di Torino.

He is the author of more than 100 publications. His main resarch interests are in the areas of law and the cognitive sciences(I fondamenti cognitivi del diritto, Bruno Mondadori, 2008; La dimensione tacita del diritto, Giappichelli, 2009), law of property (Usufrutto, uso, abitazione, superficie, UTET, 2009; Il possesso, Giuffré, 2014- with R. Sacco), law of persons (Le persone fisiche, Giappichelli, 2012), family law (La famiglia, Giappichelli, 2022- with L. Lenti).

He is member of the editorial board of Sistemi Intelligenti and Giurisprudenza Italiana.
