Chiara Saraceno selected to head new Ministry of Labour Committee

On March 10, 2021 the Ministry of Labour of the Italian Government appointed a Scientific Committee tasked with evaluating the impact of the Reddito di Cittadinanza (RdC), a minimum income scheme introduced in Italy in 2019.

The newly appointed Committee will be chaired by Chiara Saraceno, Honorary Fellow of the Collegio Carlo Alberto, and former professor of sociology of the family at the University of Turin.

The Committee guided by Saraceno includes experts from the academic and institutional world. They will examine whether and to what extent RdC was successful in its goal of reducing poverty rates; they will also advise on how to improve the effectiveness of the measure.

We wish Chiara and the Committee members every success with this important evaluation activity.
