Nominations are open for the 2021 Carlo Alberto Medal!

The selection process for the 2021 Carlo Alberto Medal recipient has started!
Instituted in 2007 by the Collegio Carlo Alberto in Italy, the Carlo Alberto Medal rewards an Italian economist (resident in Italy or abroad) below the age of 40 for his/her outstanding contributions to Economics. Further details can be found at the following link:
Having started as a yearly prize, since 2011 the Medal is assigned *every other year*; i.e., only on odd years.
Past winners of the Medal (with affiliation at time of the award) are:
2007: Nicola Persico (NYU)
2008: Enrico Moretti (UC Berkeley)
2009: Marco Battaglini (Princeton)
2010: Fabio Maccheroni (Bocconi)
2011: Oriana Bandiera (LSE)
2013: Veronica Guerrieri (Chicago Booth)
2015: Guido Menzio (University of Pennsylvania)
2017: Alessandra Voena (University of Chicago)
2019: Matteo Maggiori (Harvard University)
You can help us by participating in the nomination of a short-list of high quality candidates. This year, any Italian economist born in 1981 or later is eligible (and this will be the last chance to receive the award for economists born in years 1981-82).
In order to receive an invitation to vote with a link to the voting form (in case you have not already received such invitation), please send an email specifying your name, your academic/research affiliation, and your email address to medalcoordinator@carloalberto.org
The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, November 26, 2021.
Next, the selection committee (Marianne Bertrand, Darrell Duffie, Lars Hansen, Alessandro Lizzeri, Rosa Matzkin, Stephen Morris, and Fabrizio Zilibotti) will evaluate the nominations and select the winner that will be announced by the end of the year. The winner will deliver a lecture and receive the Medal at the Collegio in late spring 2022.
Please, feel free to inform anybody you know who you think may be interested in casting a vote, and especially anybody who you think may be an eligible candidate (see the P.S. below)!
Hope to hear from you soon!
P.S.: If you are an Italian economist *under 40*, I would like to ask you to spend 3 minutes *at your earliest convenience* to fill a very brief questionnaire by clicking on the following link:
