Sad news: Philippe Martin

With great sadness we have learned about the loss of Prof. Philippe Martin, who passed away on December 17, 2023.

Philippe Martin was the Dean of the School of Public Affairs at SciencePo, former Chairman of the French Council of Economic Analysis (Conseil d’analyse économique, CAE), CEPR Research Fellow and Vice President.

We had the honour to host him at CCA in June 2023, when he was one of the distinguished speakers of the International Festival of Economics: his Lecture can be rewatched here.

Philippe was a researcher of exceptional analytical intelligence, a skilled communicator, and a notable figure in French economic policy. He will be deeply missed.
